Why I stopped making videos with my face.
I'm Tommy. I started reselling Jordans and Supreme at 14 because nobody would give me a job. That turned into a $500K-a-year business, and the only reason it grew was the content I made about it. I wanted to be a creator since I was 8, so I filmed everything.
Affiliate links on those videos got me to $400K in commissions on Instagram. It also cost me a YouTube video and five short-form videos a day. I was getting cooked.
When TikTok Shop launched, I tested AI faceless videos against my face. They converted about the same, sometimes better, in a fifth of the time. One of my first AI videos made $2,000 in profit in a single day. I never filmed my face for a product again.
